清水商事株式会社の自社ブランド商品「暖 kids」のアートディレクションとデザインを担当しました。

北海道旭川産の天然木材を使用し、会津若松の伝統的な木加工技術によってひとつひとつ丁寧につくられたテーブルウエア。

そのシリーズの子ども用食器のギフトセットということで、ベビーチェアに座り離乳食をたべる子どもの様子から発想。
上部のミシン目をあけるとミニテーブルになり、まるでそのまま食事ができてしまいそうなレイアウト設計。

ミシン目の構造にもこだわりました。
幼い子どもが自分であけられる楽しさを味わって欲しいが、輸送の際には容易く空かない。
何度も何度も実験を繰り返し、相反する2つの要素を実現しました。

子ども用のギフトセットは、全て楓の木で作られています。
春の楓を意識した緑と甘すぎない楓の森のイラストは、購入層である親世代も意識したデザイン。
また、線画なので、フタをあけた後に親子で塗り絵を楽しめるという仕掛けも。

今にもかわいい子どもたちの笑い声が聞こえてきそうです。

I was in charge of art direction and design for “Dan Kids,” a private brand product by Shimizu Shoji Co., Ltd.

Crafted with care using natural wood from Asahikawa, Hokkaido, and traditional woodworking techniques from Aizu-Wakamatsu, this tableware series embodies warmth and quality.

For this children’s tableware gift set, the design was inspired by a baby sitting in a high chair enjoying their first meals. By tearing along the perforation at the top, the packaging transforms into a mini table, almost as if the child could start eating right away.

Particular attention was given to the perforation structure. We wanted to create the delight of a child being able to open it themselves while ensuring it would not open too easily during shipping. Through countless rounds of testing, we achieved this balance of seemingly opposing needs.

All items in the children’s gift set are made from maple wood. The green hue, inspired by maple in spring, and the gentle forest illustration were designed with the tastes of parents in mind. The line-drawn artwork allows parents and children to enjoy coloring together after opening the box.

It’s as if you can already hear the joyful laughter of children as they gather around for a meal.
