「ツボエの極上おろし金」のパッケージデザインを担当しました。
機能性と美しさ、そしてサステナビリティを兼ね備えた“見せる釘箱”として設計しています。

採用したのは、厚手の特殊紙「GAファイル グレー 450kg」。
型抜き・空押し・箔押しを施したのち、最終工程で釘箱に仕立てています。
もともと部品収納用の箱である釘箱を、あえてギフトパッケージに転用することで、
構造の精密さと素材の存在感を際立たせました。

試作を重ねて精度を追求し、紙の造形にツボエの金属加工技術にも通じる緻密さを表現。
過剰な装飾を排し、包装紙を巻かずとも贈り物として成立する佇まいに仕上げました。

最初に手にした瞬間の高揚感と、静かな余韻。
その一瞬の体験を、パッケージのかたちでデザインしています。

Tsuboe no Gokujou Oroshigane｜Package Design

I was responsible for the package design of Tsuboe no Gokujou Oroshigane.
The concept was to create a “visible nail box” — a design that embodies both functionality and refined beauty while remaining sustainable.

The package is made from a thick specialty paper, GA File Gray 450kg.
After die-cutting, blind embossing, and foil stamping, each sheet is precisely folded into a nail box form.
Originally used to store small hardware parts, this humble industrial structure was reinterpreted as a gift package, emphasizing both its precise construction and the quiet presence of the material itself.

Through repeated prototyping, every dimension and fold was refined to achieve perfect accuracy — a paper expression of Tsuboe’s metalworking craftsmanship.
By removing unnecessary decoration and eliminating wrapping, the package stands gracefully on its own as a gift.

The moment it is first held brings a quiet sense of anticipation —
a brief, tactile experience carefully shaped through design.
